Student Grants

SIPEW 2008, with generous donations from sponsors, offers several grants to enable students to attend the workshop. Grants cover the workshop registration, including meals and proceedings, and possibly hotel room during the workshop and funding for travel expenses.

Student grants will be awarded based on a combination of need and merit.

Who should apply?

Funding is available to all students (including PhD students) at educational institutions, world-wide.

How to apply

To apply you should submit the following:

  1. A fully filled-out SIPEW 2008 Student Grant Application. The application form is included below.
  2. A letter of recommendation from your advisor, supporting the application, which must cover the technical merit of your participation.
  3. A short statement (up to one page) describing any research you have been doing and a list of papers you have published. If you have a paper accepted for SIPEW 2008 this statement is not required.

Applications have to be in plain text (no attachments, simple ASCII text in the body of your message), in English, and submitted by email to info@sipew2008.org.
